Ponds for Kids
Cape Fear Water Gardens is a registered Ponds For Kids installer. Ponds For Kids is a cooperative project partnering schools and other kid friendly organizations with local contractors in the construction of a self-sustained pond ecosystem. Kids, teachers, administrators and parents can all get in on the fun from the planning phase right through the construction.
Ponds for Kids enhances children's learning environment:
- Sciences: ecology, botany, zoology and ichthyology
- Language Arts: reading and writing as interpreted through a setting
- Social Studies: human impact on the environment
- Art: expressing the natural environment through a variety of media
- Math: quantifying data
