Drew Thorndyke, Owner/General Manager

Owner/General Manager of Cape Fear Water Gardens, Drew Thorndyke, attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received his degree in Geology.  He has hiked countless mountain streams, mapping exposed rock formations in various  locations along the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

Drew uses his detailed knowledge of earth materials and processes in order to replicate natural water features.  His designs appear as if water has naturally eroded away the earth and exposed rocks that have been in place for thousands of years. 

Drew is extremely passionate about building water features.  For him they provide the perfect combination of Art and Science.  He is committed to sharing his love for ponds and the lifestyle of backyard living that allows our customers to sit back, relax and forget the stresses of everyday life.

Shawn Thomas, Service Division Manager

As Service Division Manager, Shawn is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and service including maintenance contracts, service calls, and Spring cleanouts.  Shawn attended North Carolina State University and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in General Horticulture Science.  He has over 5 years experience working with water gardens.  His background, hard work, and dedication make him a valuable asset to the company.
